Review:
This 12th installment of Friday the 13th was said to be a remake of the first, and it is for about the first five minutes, then it is a completely new movie. If you remember the original Friday the 13th, then you recall that Mrs. Voorhees was killer and Jason did not appear until the sequels. At the end of the original, Mrs Vorhees is killed and the same happens in the new version. Jason still has sore feelings about his mother's murder so he lives around the abandoned Camp Crystal Lake slicing and dicing anyone who shows up.

Personally, I think this is not only the best Friday the 13th movie but also one of the best remakes out there. The only downfall was that the acting was not always the best, but it never is in horror films. It has many scary and gruesome killings, which is what I love as a horror fanatic. It also has many jumpy moments to get your heart racing. I had high hopes for this movie going in but I thought in the back of my mind that it would probably end up being crappy, but I was extremely impressed by it and will buy it as soon as it comes out on DVD!

His name was Jason, and today is his birthday.

Review:
Zoolander is a spoof about supermodels, the models being Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson). At the peak of Zoolander's career, he loses VH1's Male Supermodel of the Year award to newcomer Hansel. Zoolander decides to give up on modeling and wants to do something to help people, such as setting up a center for kids who can't read good. The fashion guru Mugatu has other plans for Zoolander. Mugatu (Will Ferrell) wants to brainwash the brainless Zoolander to assassinate the benevolent Prime Minister of Malaysia who is determined to put an end to child labor. Zoolander needs the help of the reporter, Matilda (Christine Taylor), and his rival Hansel to save him.

If you are searching for the perfect dumb (dumb is used here is a good way) comedy, your quest has ended. This is one of my all time favorite movies. These veterans of comedy work well together and play off of each other nicely. Zoolander is fast-paced and never has a dull moment. I laugh throughout the whole movie everytime I see it!
